Each group plays an important part in helping Strathdearn thrive, working hand in hand to represent local views, support community projects, secure funding and create opportunities for the future.
The company, through its community mandate, will implement the vision by creating employment opportunities, care at home for the vulnerable, attraction outwith the area for profitability and viability of the investments. Focusing on local and tourist alike to improve the area and build a brand, as well as infrastructure, for future generations to benefit from the work SCD is currently engaged upon.
For sustainable demographic growth by encouraging new employment opportunities, supporting existing local businesses, good services and facilities, and affordable housing. Guided by the Community Development Plan, which evolves as projects are completed and new ones added in consultation with local wishes.
Local people who have the right to attend the AGM and any EGM and can who elect people to serve as Directors. These people help to make decisions in relation to any changes in development.
Elected Directors, Appointed and Co-Opted Directors who hold regular meetings between each AGM. They set the strategy and policy of the Company. They are responsible for monitoring the financial position of the Company.
