New Opportunity: Lead Youth Worker

We’re looking to appoint a lead youth worker who will be responsible for establishing and delivering a youth program to support young people and families in the Strathdearn area.

This is a part-time, three-year fixed-term contract with the potential to work additional hours and the contract to be extended or made permanent. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and running pre-school and afterschool youth clubs for children aged 5+ years
  • Organising, coordinating and overseeing an exciting and varied youth activity program for children 
  • Engaging with young adults in the community (aged 12-17) to set up a regular youth club and support their training, awards etc.
  • Organising and running holiday activity programs in Strathdearn and further afield
  • Undertaking any other duties which may be reasonably required

The successful candidate will have good leadership and interpersonal skillsexperience of working with young people in a range of settings, a practical knowledge of ICT and a knowledge and experience of volunteering and of supporting volunteers.
