Membership

How to become a member

There are three categories of membership of the Strathdearn Community Developments (SCD) company and we would be delighted to welcome you if you choose to join us by using the most appropriate membership for you.

There are no costs involved when becoming a member – it is completely free.

Full membership

Open to those residents with an eligible postcode, who are on the electoral register, and support the purposes of the company.

Become a Full Member

I support the Purposes* of the Company.
I am resident within Strathdearn.
I am aged 16 or over and am entitled to vote at a local government election in a polling district that includes Strathdearn.
I undertake to pay any membership subscription due (currently set at £0).
I undertake to pay up to £1, if requested, on the winding up of the company.
I consent to my personal details being kept by the Trust, and understand that the Trust will not pass these to a third party unless it seeks my specific permission, or is required to provide details of membership under the Companies Act 2006. Please see our Privacy Notice for more information.

* The Purposes of the Company may be summarised as “to promote recreational, financial, educational and environmental issues to the benefit of Strathdearn community.” For a full explanation of the Purposes, please see SCD’s Articles of Association.

Associate membership

Open to individuals who support the purposes of the Trust but are not residents within the eligible postcode area.

Become an Associate Member

I am not ordinarily resident within Strathdearn.
I undertake to pay up to £1, if requested, on the winding up of the company.

Junior membership

Open to individuals who are aged between twelve and sixteen years old and support the purposes of the company.
